Through my own lived experience of mental health and addiction, my purpose has always been clear; to make a positive difference in the mental health and addiction sector, to provide better outcomes. I feel incredibly thankful to be in a position with Pathways where I can share my lived experience, knowledge and vision with likeminded people.

I began my career as a support worker over 20 years ago for a small NGO specialising in maternal mental health and whānau support in Auckland. During this time I completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Psychosocial studies. I then spent a number of years in leadership roles in maternal mental health, working in community and residential services, housing and PHOs across a number of organisations. I’m a lifelong learner and attended Waikato University, School of Management to gain a Post Graduate Diploma in Business and Leadership Administration.

I joined Pathways as Regional General Manager in 2019. My highlights so far include the development of new Real services across the region to support taiohi, and being encouraged to share my lived experience further by completing the Kia Mataara Peer training.

I am married with two adult children. In my down time I love to focus on my wellbeing which often involves the beach, the ocean, and travelling to experience new cultures and a different pace of life.
