We’re passionate about supporting people with experience of mental illness or addictions – we’ve been dedicated to it for more than 30 years.
Pathways is a leading national provider of community-based mental health, addiction and wellbeing services. Every year we support around 6000 people, all around New Zealand, to live well in the communities of their choice.
Pathways was established in 1989, introducing a new model of care that helped change the mental health sector in New Zealand forever.
Since then Pathways has continually developed its services based on feedback from people using our services, and best practice around the world.
Our Pathways whānau is a diverse team, all dedicated to supporting people to live well and shape their own future, in their own communities.
We’re all here to listen and to help.
Our dream is to ‘transform mental health and addictions through fostering strong, compassionate, self-supporting communities’.
Every day in everything we do, we are guided by some important values and beliefs as we strive to achieve this dream.
The Wise Group
Pathways is the founding member of the Wise Group.
The Wise Group is a family of community entities with the shared goal of improving lives through fresh possibilities.
At Pathways we are inspired by the recovery stories of the people who use our services. These stories are about journeys, experiences, challenges and joys. They’re about strength, motivation and inspiration.
