Helping people quit smoking

We’re committed to supporting everyone connected with the mental health and addictions sector to be smokefree.

Smoking prevalence among people with mental health issues is higher than the general population. We’ve been committed to changing this statistic and helping people to reduce and stop smoking, for many years.

In 2014, Pathways launched and led a new Breakfree stop smoking programme to the mental health and addictions sector in Auckland, alongside other NGO’s. Breakfree provides information, advice, tools and wrap-around support for people in the mental health sector to quit smoking.

It doesn’t matter where you access services in Pathways, if you or anyone in your whānau wants to stop smoking just ask and we will help.
