The Wise Group

We are one; everything is possible. Pathways is the founding member of the Wise Group, a family of community entities employing almost 1000 people. Imagine: all those people working together, knowing each other, learning together and celebrating together. Imagine every day working together in the most sustainable and streamlined way. The Wise Group is making this a reality, creating a culture where we think and act as one.

Wise Group

Working together means the entities in the Wise Group are able to work collaboratively - sharing knowledge and expertise to create fresh possibilities for the wellbeing of people and communities. Meet some of the key entities who, along with Pathways, make up the core of the Wise Group.

Blueprint for Learning designs, develops and delivers inspirational learning opportunities for people working in the health and social service sectors. This includes a customised learning and development programme for Pathways staff.

Workwise Employment Agency helps people with experience of mental illness to choose, get, and keep jobs.

Te Pou is New Zealand's national centre of mental health research, information and workforce development.

Wild Bamboo is the group's software company. In partnership with Pathways, Wild Bamboo developed the electronic health record system known as Recordbase. This system is now used by non-government organisations around New Zealand and overseas.

The Monastery is the group's wellness retreat in the Waikato. In June 2011 it opened its door and its heart to the people of Christchurch and is currently offering five-night retreats, free of charge, to women and men who have been directly affected by the devastating Canterbury earthquakes.

Wise Management Services is the group's single shared services agency, providing capable teams and sophisticated systems across all management areas required by the group.
