Quality
Pathways Knowledge Sharing Framework
Pathways is an innovative organisation. Always looking to improve (do it better); always taking the opportunity to be innovative (do it different) and always looking to the future.
Quality is a commitment to the highest possible standard of service. For Pathways this is encompassed in every aspect of daily work.
The direct benefits of total quality management are reflected in a range of areas including a high standard of service from trained, supported and skilled staff, a consistent standard of service for every individual, as well as key stakeholder participation in the planning, delivery and review of services.
Pathways recognises that collaboration and sharing are key and is committed to providing a knowledge sharing culture in which staff, the people using our services and their family/whanau feel included and valued. It’s about seeing the importance of knowledge sharing, rather than just managing facts.
Our knowledge sharing framework:
- supports a culture of improvement and innovation by tapping into people’s commitment and capacity to learn at all levels
- supports staff, people using our services and their family/whanau to take ownership of quality by sharing improvements, good practices and innovations.
A quality system must be fluid. There is no sense in a rigid policy manual that doesn’t change swiftly enough to meet emerging best practice, so Pathways constantly strives for an effective balance between innovation and quality. Pathways’ National Quality Manager champions Quality for Pathways and ensures standards are met and that our policy manual is current and aligned to best practice.
